"Wanders of a traveler charangist"
Daniel studied music at Distrital Francisco José de Caldas University in Bogotá, Colombia. While pursuing his degree, he managed the inclusion of emphasis in the charango instrument, becoming the first charango graduate with a professional diploma in Colombia.
Over the course of his career, Daniel has been part of the music groups Yaku (2014), Aíqui (2017), and Daniel Amaya solo work. At the same time he teaches charango and Andean wind instruments at the Secretariat of Culture in Cota, Colombia, with the direction of the Andean music ensemble. Daniel also plays ceremony music in the United States, Europe, and Colombia with Origen Sagrada.
Daniel has performed concerts in different cities around Colombia and various international festivals such as The III Charango Festival of Tititaca in Puno, Perú (2016) and the International Charango Festival in Cuzco, Perú (2016). In addition, he has given concerts at The House of Blues in Chicago, USA (2018) and Pensar Bonito Auditorium in Ensenada, Mexico (2019).
